ABOUT PROJECTThis client-led new build project reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts movement looks perfectly at home amongst trees and greenery, the low-slung eaves giving the air of a fairytale cottage in the woods.
The Art Deco industrial style windows with horizontal glaze bars and wide panes are a design feature which lifts the building from a turn of the century pastiche into a fresh and contemporary take on historical architectural styles.
Wrap-around glazing with slender frames feature on several bays, maximising light flow to create airy internal spaces and creating charming areas for window seating and enjoying the views.
A large bronze arched double door set and two fixed panels with curved heads peek out from beneath the sweeping eaves.
Bronze is utilised inside the home too, with double doors between areas to create the feeling of a modern open-plan space without sacrificing the benefits of enclosed rooms. A quirky shaped door under the stairs provides access to a wine cellar.
