ABOUT PROJECT

An early 20th century house on this estate was drastically remodelled and extended into an Arts and Crafts Lutyens inspired triumph.

With a simple vernacular language and classical features, this sprawling estate comprises the main house with an orangery, garage wing, gatehouse, summer house, pool and garden spa across which incorporate over 200 Architectural Bronze Casements and doors.

Kiln-dried joinery quality oak was used for all windows, doors and frameworks providing a delicate strength to frame the slender, beautiful Thermabronze windows. There are so many stunning elements to this house, but the front entrance alone is immediately arresting, with a full width gallery of bronze windows creating a ribbon of light in the internal space. The south elevation boasts a floor-to-ceiling bay of glass.

To the south east of the property sits the summerhouse, housing a tripartite of towering arches, completely glazed and leaded, with a double door set in the middle, fixed panels either side and transoms above. These huge walls of glass allow light reflecting from the outdoor pool to stream into the spa inside.
