A major part of our work is directly with homeowners who are looking to manage the work carried out on their homes. The projects we get involved with are extremely varied and can be as simple as the replacement of one or two windows, to complete house renovations and new build projects involving many trades. Each project and client is unique in how much help and assistance they will need from the design stage through to completion. We are extremely flexible in the ways in which we can work with you.
Call us to talk through your ideas and requirements with one of our designers, and if you have photographs and drawings, they are very useful to aide our understanding. We can advise which systems are most appropriate for your project and guide you through the best way of progressing your enquiry and how we work.
Visiting your property is helpful to assess existing reveals and explain how our windows will fit into existing openings. For difficult and more unusual and complicated projects, our designer may be accompanied by our technical surveyor to help find solutions.
Visiting our showrooms and products in manufacture during the research stages extremely valuable and a worthwhile exercise. Meeting the team and seeing the various stages of manufacture is an interesting day out and we also have local projects where you can see our products in situ.
Your project designer will work with you to develop ideas and then compile a detailed specification and costs. They can also assist you on the complex issues raised by Building Regulations should they apply to your project.
Most clients take up survey and measuring service where our technical surveyor will visit and take all the measurements required for a successful installation. They will also assess existing openings and advise of any repairs that may be required. On complex shaped openings we will template to ensure a perfect fit. For most self-installations, clients or their architects/contractors will supply measurements for us to manufacture to.
Once ordered, a project technician prepares all CAD drawings for sign off and any other information required to move your project to manufacturing. Our operations manager will agree delivery dates and an installation schedule. You will be assigned client coordinator who will be your main point of contact throughout your project.
Our manufacturing facility combines the latest technology with traditional techniques and hand finishing to achieve precision-made products with an individual and traditional look. You are welcome to come and see your project at any stage of manufacture prior to the final quality checks and delivery.
Most clients use our installation service which provides a dedicated team of our own experienced fitters, overseen by a project manager. We never outsource installers. The duration and sequence of your installation is usually planned to dovetail in around other works you may be having on site. Alternatively, should you have an experienced installer, we can talk them through the correct procedure and tools to fit our products, and also offer a demonstration service.
On completion of your project, we provide an O & M guide for the long life of your products, and a dedicated support team should you need us. We keep full records of your project which are kept indefinitely, so replacement glass units can be fitted without undue delay in the event of a breakage.
