Project Focus Art Deco House (White Ladies)
This unique and iconic Grade II listed building, dating back to the 1930s, is unusual as it has a garden and small swimming pool on the roof!
The house was purchased by the current owner in 2021, who has bravely taken on the mammoth task of this self-restoration project.
The original steel windows had corroded and deteriorated to such an extent that they had damaged the surrounding infrastructure and the glass. Art Deco House now benefits from using Bronze, a non-ferrous metal, which will see generations of enjoyment.
Each section of glass was carefully removed, assessed, restored, and encapsulated, improving the thermal performance of the windows whilst preserving these beautiful pieces of its heritage.
This project really is a labour of love and will take some years to complete - so we look forward to sharing more updates as things progress.
It is so rewarding to see this stunning building coming back to life.
