Architectural Bronze are regularly involved in sensitive projects where there is a strong focus on preserving historical gems and saving them from ruin. We are proud to have worked with some great architects, conservationists, and contractors who focus on this type of work, and who recognise the value that bronze can bring to the long life of these restored buildings.
Our Heritage system is specifically designed for historic buildings, boasting fine and delicate profiles and suitability for bending. Whilst it accepts slim double glazed units, it is best suited to traditional leaded lights, silicone pointed into position.

Glynde Place in East Sussex is an Elizabethan country house built of flint and Caen stone, parts of which had fallen into serious disrepair. Original steel casements and fixings had rusted and expanded, fracturing the stone mullions, and had also affected the beautiful stained glass panels which were falling apart.
Our work started with the careful removal of all the stained glass before the stone mullions could be repaired. Bronze was chosen for being non ferrous, for its anti-corrosion properties and also for the beauty of its natural patina.
Working with our associate glass artist, all leaded lights were carefully restored before being reinstated. Other windows were glazed with kiln distorted glass, the traditional leaded lights secured to the casements with twisted saddle bars.
Our website showcases 50+ inspirational case studies, exploring our projects in detail and providing clear insight into the diversity of our work and the wide variety of projects we work on.
The case studies are organised into New Builds, Renovations, Extensions, Commercial & Educational, Heritage & Conservation, and Overseas making it easy to explore projects relevant to your needs while demonstrating how bronze can suit a diverse range of applications.
