ABOUT PROJECTThis property comprised of two projects. After completion of the main dwelling we were invited back to provide windows and screens for the pool house. The estate benefits from a beautiful setting on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with a private lake immediately behind.
This Grade II listed house was originally built in the late 18th century/early 19th century. A sensitive head to toe restoration was required, reversing previous adaptations and refurbishing the listed building to a high standard. Countless fixed bronze screens and opening doors have been used internally between rooms to create a sense of light and spacious open plan living without sacrificing the benefits that come with separate living areas.
The barn underwent a complete regeneration and interior redesign to create an impressive contemporary pool house, complete with a rustic and textural charm. A home office and gym float on a mezzanine amongst the rafters, utilising the light and airy space created by the generous Coach House doors. These have been converted using fixed full length bronze screens with arched heads.
