Design Statement
Vale Bronze Casements are made from only bronze manganese alloy and are designed to last not only through this lifetime, but through the lifetime of generations to come. The casements material is fully recyclable and so any surplus materials during manufacture are melted down and reused. Every care is also taken throughout the process to dispose of any other waste products in accordance with WRAP guidelines.
It is precisely these manufacturing principles and the care taken with these materials that the Code for Sustainable Homes is striving for suppliers and property developers to work towards. The Code, set up in 2007 is intended to promote higher standards of sustainable design and whilst the primary focus of this standard is aimed at new build, and our windows form a critical part of the overall SAP calculation, we at Vale are absolutely aware of the need to enhance the efficiency of existing buildings without detrimental effect to the environment.
